Assilah International Cultural Forum opened

Assilah, Morocco, August 06, SPA -- Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz,
Governor of Riyadh Region, has expressed happiness that the Moroccan
people are adopting the course of containing cultures and
civilizations.

In a speech he delivered at the opening of the 30th Assilah
International Cultural Forum in the city of Assilah, northern
Morocco, he said, "The plan of containing cultures adopted by Assilah
is a plan emanating from the universality of Islam and Arabism as
Islam contained in its nation all Arab, Asian, African and European
civilizations all over the old, modern, eastern and western world.

Prince Salman said the origin of all of this is Arabia, the cradle of
Arabism and where Islam started.

Prince Salman pointed out that Saudi relations and firm friendship,
based on sound faith, useful knowledge, the justice of word, the
honesty of dealings and the partnership of work, are the bridge of
communication with the peoples of the world in general and the Arab
Maghrib in Particular highlighting the deep-rooted Saudi relations
with the Arab Maghrib region.

Prince Salman stressed Saudi support for dialogue and asserted the
distinguished Saudi relations with Morocco.

The forum was opened last night. Prince Salman and other dignitaries
attended the opening.
