Yemen security arrest six al-Qaeda suspects in the Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Aug. 06 (Saba)- Well-informed sources said on Monday that
the security services are currently investigating with six people in
connection with the suicide attack against a security camp in Sayun
which killed a soldier and the attacker and wounded at least 17
including seven women living near the camp.

The terrorist attack targeted on 25 July the camp of the Central
Security Forces and public security in Sayun city of Hadramout
province, the east of Yemen.

The sources pointed out that security officials had tracked down the
people close to the suicide bomber who carried out the attack at the
camp in Sayun, affirming that the al-Qaeda-linked group had been
hunted in several districts of Hadramout.

The perpetrator of the suicide bombing has been identified, while an
al-Qaeda cell has claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Al-Qaeda in Yemen took credit for the suicide bombing in an emailed
statement that included a purported photo of the suicide attacker,
identified as Ahmed Bin Said Omar al-Masjari, also known as Abu
Dajjana Al-Hadrami.

Al-Masjari was a third-level medical student at Hadramout University
and was born in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Masjari drove a 2003 KIA through the security camp's gates, which
prompted security soldiers to open fire on the bomber.

The sources said that the security services are following suspects
others who may have helped the suicide attacker. Two of the alleged
planners are Saudis and one goes by the name of Mohammed Al-Qahtani.
The other Saudi suspect's name was not released.
