.South Stream pipeline confidently comes to Europe - Miller.

SOFIA, November 14 (Itar-Tass) - The South Stream gas pipeline "has
confidently stepped into Europe today," Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said
summarising the results of negotiations held in the Bulgarian capital
between Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his Bulgarian
counterpart Boyko Borisov.
Miller expressed confidence that "no problems whatsoever emerge with
the financing of the Bulgarian section of the South Stream gas pipeline."
"At the first stage, already now, Gazprom is ready to fully fund the
work of the joint venture. I would like to note that in recent months we
have acquired a very good tempo of joint work with our Bulgarian
colleagues. And are working even ahead of schedule. If the work goes on
with the same efficiency further, we will be ahead of the schedule of the
South Stream's putting into operation, as agreed in advance - it's
December 31, 2015 - by several months. I think, four months," said the
head of the Russian gas corporation.
The South Stream gas pipeline is very important for Bulgaria. Last
year, Gazprom pumped through the territory of Bulgaria about 13 billion
cubic metres of gas, and with the commissioning of South Stream the
transit volume will increase by 63 billion cubic metres of gas, almost
five times more than today's indicators.
Miller said that the structure of management of the new company the
board of directors of which will include five men - three from Bulgaria
and two from the Russian side- has been determined, the chairman of the
board of directors will also be Bulgaria's representative. However, the
decisions of the board of directors will be taken unanimously.
"Bulgaria is very important for the South Stream project
implementation, because it will become the first country after the
offshore section of the pipeline laid on the Black Sea bed," said Miller.
