ASTANA, November 12 (Itar-Tass) - CSTO Secretary-General Nikolai
Bordyuzha has highly appreciated Kazakhstan's presidency over the
Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
"During Kazakhstan's OSCE presidency many important events related to
security took place, very pressing issues were put on the agenda and we
report dynamics in their solution," he said at the meeting with Kazakh
President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Friday.
"The OSCE for the first time began to coordinate its activities with
the Collective Security Treaty Organization and other international
structures. During Kyrgyzstan's dramatic events our representatives
regularly met, exchanged information and estimates and discussed the most
effective measures to help the country's people," he said.
Senior officials of the UN, OSCE, NATO, CSTO and the CIS will hold
their second meeting on the sidelines of the OSCE summit in Astana.
"This means that international organizations specialized in security
are starting to coordinate their efforts," Bordyuzha said.
