Yemen, Syria discuss tourism cooperation

DAMASCUS, Aug. 04 (Saba)- Deputy Minister of Tourism for service sector and tourist buildings Mutahar Taqi held talks on Monday with
Syrian Minister of Tourism Sadallah al-Qala over tourist cooperation relations between the two countries and means of improving and boosting them, particularly holding exhibitions, preserving traditional productions, exchanging experiences, and training specialized cadres in tourist fields.

Taqi acquainted the Syrian Minister with the unique tourist components which Yemen owns, developments of tourism sector and its revival, pointing out that the role of many factors of environment, climate, heritage and civilization in increasing the number of tourists from all over the world, especially Europeans.

He noted the necessity to activate the signed agreements between the two countries and intensifying exchanging visits of tourist and expert delegations between the two sides, expressing Yemeni Tourism Ministry's desire to make use of Syrian experiences in holding exhibitions and preserving traditional productions strategies.

He stressed the major and effective role of tourism agencies to transfer tourism experiences and improving tourist products.
For his part, the Syrian official made clear importance of discovering common images possibly making use from them by the two sides and activating tourist movements between the two countries, showing Syria's full readiness to improve all agreements signed
with Yemen, in addition to putting all Syrian capabilities to develop and train Yemeni tourist cadres.
