Iran, Lebanon call for scientific cooperation

Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi on Tuesday called for boosting scientific cooperation with Lebanon.


Roknabadi made the remarks in a meeting with Lebanon Education Minister Hassan Mneimneh in Beirut.

Roknabadi also submitted the invitation of Iran's Minister of Science, Research and Technology Kamran Daneshjo to his Lebanese counterpart.

Accepting the invitation, Lebanese minister said that he will visit Tehran in near future.

Pointing to Iran-Lebanon longstanding cultural cooperation, Mneimneh welcomed expanding scientific cooperation.

The Lebanese minister hailed the outcome of visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Lebanon and said that was very fruitful for both sides.
