President Ahmadinejad receives six foreign ministers


President Mahmdoud Ahmadinejad received foreign ministers of six countries on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD).


In separate meetings with the foreign ministers of Bangladesh, Oman, Singapore, Brunei, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka, on Monday, the President welcomed expansion of bilateral ties with these countries.

In the meeting with the Bangladeshi foreign minister, Ahmadinejad described as brotherly the ties between the two countries and welcomed further expansion of political and economic relations.

During the meeting with the Omani foreign minister, too, Iran’s President termed as positive the trend of ties between Tehran and Muscat and said the growing relations between the two countries would benefit the region as well.

President Ahmadinejad expressed satisfaction over the consolidating ties between Iran and Singapore during the meeting with the country’s foreign minister and pointed to many joint views the two countries shared in national and international arenas.

In the meeting with the Sri Lankan foreign Minister, the President said the two countries were in the frontline of efforts to spread friendship, peace and justice and worked to remain independent to achieve progress.

As for ties between Iran and Tajikistan, Ahmadinejad said the two nations were seeking to establish security and prosperity in the region.

In the meeting with Brunei’ foreign minister, the Iranian President pointed to the growing brotherly ties between the two countries thanks to the reliance of the both nations on ethical and human values.
