MPP LEADING BOARD ELECTED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The postponed till 7pm first conference of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) began around 9pm yesterday.
Before the break, U.Khurelsukh had been chosen as the party's secretary-general and candidacies of some people for full and part time secretaries had been balloted.
According to the ballot results, presented as soon as the 7 pm meeting began, all the persons nominated were voted "for"-- Ts.Sukhbaatar and Ya.Sodbaatar as the full time secretaries, and as the part time secretaries D.Lundeejantsan--in charge of parliament issues, M.Enkhbold--in charge of Government issues, and S.Bayar--in charge of foreign relations. We informed before, that the number of full and part time secretaries has been increased from five to seven.
Election of the Leading board membership took the whole evening, according to sources. It was decided to increase this membership to 31 from 21, which is, again, is connected with parliament elections approaching. Out of proposed 33--31 by the Premier and two by the gathered--31 were elected.
A core of the previous board remained unchanged such as Speaker D.Demberel, Vice-Speaker N.Enkhbold, head of the MPP faction D.Lundeejantsan, Ts.Nyamdorj MP, Minister T.Gandi. The newcomers are S.Byambatsogt, J.Enkhbayar and D.Oyunkhorol MPs, head of Social democracy-Mongolian youth Union L.Oyun-Erdene, vice-minister of health J.Tsolmon and consultant of the TV-5 channel D.Sarangerel.
