CONFERENCE OF MPP BEGINS TO CHOOSE AUTHORITIES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A first conference of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) began around noon on Monday chaired by D.Demberel, the Speaker. The meeting is dedicated to electing in two stages a secretary-general, secretaries and Leading board of the party.
Two hours ago became known the candidatures of the fisrt stage election. A nomination of U.Khurelsukh to the post of secretary-general (he is the curent holder of this place) has been supported by all.
A number of posts of full time secretaries has been added--from two to three, and of part time secretaries--from three to four. "It is because of approaching parliament elections," the MPP head explaines. It is decided to include one woman in each categories of secretaries but it will happen later this month.
For the time being, a full support has been given to nominating candidatures of Ts.Sukhbaatar (current secretary) and Ya.Sodbaatar (Professional Inspection Agency head) for full time posts of secretary, also to candidadies of D.Lundeejantsan (MP, head of the party's faction) to become a part time secretary in charge of parliament, M.Enkhbold (Deputy Premier) to become a part time secretary in charge of Government, and of S.Bayar MP to be a part time secretary in charge of foreign relations. Other candidacies were not proposed.
The results of secret ballot are awaited. When they are sounded, members of the leading board will be chosen.
