ITAR-TASS Director General awarded as Seoul honorary citizen

SEOUL, November 8 (Itar-Tass) -- Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon awarded
Director General of the Russian news agency ITAR-TASS Vitaly Ignatenko
with the Seoul Honorary Citizen certificate and a memorable badge on the
ribbon.
The festive awarding ceremony of this prestigious title was held
at the headquarters of the Seoul government ahead of an official visit by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in South Korea on November 10.
Awarding the Seoul Honorary Citizen certificate Oh Se-hoon
congratulated cordially Vitaly Ignatenko, noting his major contribution in developing the diplomatic relations between Moscow and Seoul.
The 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the countries is celebrated broadly this year.
He also noted a great role of the ITAR-TASS general director in developing fruitful cooperation between the mass media of Russia and South Korea.
