Kim Jong-Il attends anniversary concert of radio and TV committee.

PYONGYANG, November 7 (Itar-Tass) - North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il was present at a concert, staged in Pyongyang by an amateur art and publicity group of the State Radio and TV Committee on the occasion of the 65 anniversary of founding this organisation.

The group rendered patriotic songs, lauding the Korean Workers' Party
and its leaders.
According to a report by the CTAK news agency on Sunday, general
secretary of the Korean Workers' Party, chairman of the State Defence
Commission and supreme commander-in-chief thanked the actors "for a
wonderful performance". Kim emphasised that the KWP is proud of mass media
workers, who publicise far and wide songun ideas (Eds: "Military First"
policy).
According to the Korean leader, the Radio and TV Committee "defended
politically and ideologically the party's interests and inspired the army
and the people for new labour feats in the process of building the
prospering nation".
Along with Kim Jong-Il, the concert was attended by the members of the
Political Bureau and secretariat of the KWP Central Committee as well as
by other party functionaries and statesmen.
