Ban condemns terrorist attacks in Pakistan
UNITED NATIONS, November 6 (Itar-Tass) - UN Secretary-General Ban
Ki-moon on Friday strongly condemned terrorist attacks on two mosques in
north-western Pakistan that left more than 70 people dead, including a
number of children.
"The Secretary-General is dismayed by the indiscriminate killing of
civilians in a place of worship, which no cause can justify," the
secretary-general's spokesperson said in a statement.
Ban Ki-moon offered his condolences to the families of the victims, to
the government and people of Pakistan.
Two suicide bombings demolished a mosque in Pakistan's northwest
province during Friday prayers. The blasts took place in Darra Adam Khel
and in Peshawar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province.
