Kazakhstan harvests almost 14 mln tons of grain.

ASTANA, November 5 (Itar-Tass) -- Farmers of Kazakhstan harvested 13.9
million tonnes of grain as of November 1, Executive Secretary of the
Kazakhstani Agriculture Ministry Yevgeny Aman told the government's
meeting at the beginning of the week.
"With due account of the carry-over reserves, the collected grain can
fully meet the country's domestic demand and maintain the export potential
at the level of 7-8 million tonnes," he said.
According to the official, "the country has created an appropriate
reserve of food wheat in order to settle situation on the grain market and
stabilise prices of flour, baked products and macaroni."
In addition, "the government is purchasing additionally 970,000 tonnes
of grain," Aman said.
