Wyatt Roy upset over fake tweet

Australia's youngest federal MP says someone is deliberately trying to destroy his
reputation through the online social media site, Twitter.
This follows the posting of a disturbing photo of Canberra rugby league player Joel
Monaghan stimulating a sex act with a dog. It was posted on Twitter by a fake Wyatt
Roy account.
A media statement from the federal member of Longman's office on Friday said someone
was trying to ruin his reputation.
"Fake Twitter accounts purporting to be from Wyatt Roy emerged during the election
campaign, potentially set up by opponents of Wyatt Roy," the statement said.
"These fake Twitter accounts, including @WyattRoyMP, were set up in a deliberate
attempt to damage the reputation of Wyatt Roy and mislead other Twitter users."
It said the latest incident was an example of the dangers of social media.
The fake Twitter account @WyattRoyMP was previously suspended on September 30 but
the account has recently been re-opened and has not been shut down despite repeated
attempts by Mr Roy's office.
