NATIONAL REPORT ON HUMAN RIGHTS DISCUSSED AT UNHRC MEETING
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ United Nations Human rights Council /UNHRC/ discussed on November 2-4 Mongolia 's national report on human rights situation and confirmed the report of the working group.
During the presentation of report, delegates from 43 countries who had questioned the Mongolian government's representatives, considered that the report covers all the necessary information and that all the difficulties are mentioned that Mongolia is facing in protecting human rights. In the meantime, they have approved that Mongolia's governement had shared views with the civil society organizations and NGO during the preparation of the Report. The announcement of the moratorium of death penalty in Mongolia was also welcomed by them.
Within the report presentation procedure, Mongolian governement's officials had given detailed answers to all the questions that were put by delegates from member-countries. The officials have also met with the representatives of the Mongolian NGO, who have taken part in the national report discussion as observers, and shared views on further cooperation and ways of implementation of recommendations given by UNHRC.
