Situation in Ingushetia stabilised - Yevkurov.
NAZRAN, November 4 (Itar-Tass) - The situation in Ingushetia has
stabilised, it now has less murders, assaults and terror acts, Ingushetia
President Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said at a press conference in Magas on
Thursday.
According to him, two years ago not a single passed without a murder
or explosion. Yevkurov said that when he became president of the republic,
he set himself the task to stabilise the situation within two years. "Then
I knew I was going to work to fulfil the set tasks, primarily dealing with
people that must bring positive results." Much of the credit for
stabilising the situation in the republic rests with the Federal Security
Service (FSB), which, Yevkurov stated, "shouldered the main burden" of
implementing plans to establish order. The police helped it in this. The
head of Ingushetia said that earlier there was mistrust among some law
enforcement agencies, and now he has managed to get rid of this mistrust.

.Rosoboronexport marks 10th anniversary.
MOSCOW, November 4 (Itar-Tass) - Russia's arms exporting company
Rosoboronexport on Thursday marks the 10th anniversary of its foundation.
The creation of the single state intermediary by way of merger of the
Rosvooruzheniye and Promexport companies became one of the key events in
the reform of the entire system of military-technical cooperation (MTC) of
Russia with foreign states.
The decree creating Rosoboronexport signed by the Russian president on
November 4, 2000, strengthened the MTC vertical management system, created
an effective instrument to implement the principle of state monopoly in
this sphere. The company is responsible for 80 percent of Russian exports
abroad and oversees the work of 700 Russian enterprises from 56 regions.
CEO of Rosoboronexport Anatoly Isaikin told journalists that exports
of weapons and military equipment of Russia in 2010 will exceed 10 billion
US dollars. In 2009, the volume of Russia's exports of weapons and
equipment abroad amounted to 7.4 billion US dollars.
"Rosoboronexport will fulfil and over-fulfil its plan this year, it is
already obvious," said Isaikin. "We still have two months until the end of
the year. This is usually the busiest period of supplies."

.Ingushetia main task is to cope with high unemployment-Yevkurov.
NAZRAN, November 4 (Itar-Tass) - The settlement of the problem of high
unemployment in the republic is the main task for Ingushetia, its
President Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said at a press conference in Magas.
Summing up the results of his two-year work on the post of the
republic's head, Yevkurov noted that he set the task to "solve this
problem, but we have failed to do it." He stressed that measures are being
taken in the republic to ensure the population's employment. The federal
target programme "Socio-economic development of Ingushetia in 2010-2016
envisages the creation of 18-20 thousand jobs," he said. "However, this
does not solve the problem in general, and in fact it is a drop in the
bucket. The republic now works to maximally develop small businesses,
stimulate private entrepreneurship, so they can start their own business."
According to Yevkurov, the most promising sphere for the development
of individual enterprise is agriculture.
"I have set the task to find those people who are engaged in the
republic in the growing of crops that are delivered to our republic," he
said. "We will encourage these people, provide them every kind of
assistance and support, so that they could increase their production
volumes and supply the residents with local products."
