MONGOLIA-LAOS JOINT COMMISSION MEETING ENDS


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The 8th meeting of Mongolia-Laos intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation succesfully took place in Vientiane city, Laos, Monday, November 1st.
The ides have discussed the issues of enriching the bilateral relations with a more economic content, in particular, extending mutually beneficial cooperation in the spheres of trade, economics, investments, agriculture and etc.
After the meeting of the joint commission, a protocol was signed reflecting concrete issues to be jointly implemented for the period of 2010 -2012.
Mongolian delegation, led by Minister of health S.Lambaa, was received by Prime-Minister of Laos Bouasone Bouphavanh, then met with Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Laos and a head of the intergovermental commission for Lao side, with Mr Sitaheng Rasapong, Minister of Agriculture and forest, with Mr Naang Viniaket, Minister of Trade and Industry and Mr Putoon Seng-Akom, head of State committee on physical culture and sport of Laos.
The same day, the Mongolian Minister of Health presented 300 million togrogs (equivalent to US$ 219,780) to the Ministry of Public Health of Laos for the restoration of the Lao-Mongolian Friendship Hospital in Phonsavanh district, Xiengkhouang province.
Lao side has expressed his readiness to be the first to ink the Agreement on restructuring the international research center for developing landlocked countries in Ulaanbaatar into international, intergovermental organization of developing.
