FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES IAEA GENERAL DIRECTOR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ IAEA General Director Yukiya Amano met Wednesday with Mongolian Foreign Minister
G.Zandanshatar during his two day visit to Mongolia.
Mr Zandanshatar has noted a succesfull development of the bilateral relations between Mongolia and the Agency. "Mongolia highly values the contribution the Agency has been making to keeping international peace and security, to socio-economic and environmental development," he underlined. Then he has requested the chief of the Agency to assist Mongolia in exploiting atomic energy and uranium, in particular, in carriyng out preliminary studies on construction of atomic power station.
In his turn, Mr Amano has expressed a gratitude to the Mongolian government for organizing in UB city a regional workshop themed "First step measures on cancer profiling, role of first aid medical service".
