David Gyngell appointed CEO of PBL Media
PBL Media chief executive Ian Law is set to be replaced by Nine boss David Gyngell,
according to a media report.
The Australian newspaper's website reported on Tuesday that the management changes
come as PBL Media - which owns the Nine television network and Australia's largest
magazine publisher ACP - prepares for a $5 billion-plus stock market float next
year.
PBL Media is owned by private equity company CVC, which acquired the company from
James Packer over 2006-08.
Mr Gyngell's future has been subject to speculation since good mate James Packer
paid $280 million for an 18 per cent stake in Ten Network Holdings Ltd late last
month, the Australian said.
The website reported that Mr Gyngell would retain his current role as chief
executive of television broadcaster Nine Network Australia.
