MONGOLIA LEASES LAND FOR RICE FARMING

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ It has been recently decided that Laos would lease its 10 thousands hectares land to Mongolia for rice growing in frames of Mongolia's "Food guaranty" programme.
The decision was made at the 8th meeting of Mongolia-Laos intergovermental commission on trade and economic, scientific and technological cooperation that ran in Vientiane.
During the meeting the sides have shared views on the issues such as exchange of specialists in the fields of food, agriculture and light industry and on development of sheep breeding.
The meeting that was resumed after 21-year pause was attended by Mongolian delegation including Kh.Davaadorj, adviser to the Minister of Agriculture; Ch.Enkh-Amgalan, head of the Board on policy regulation in the fields of food production, trade and service, and Sh.Baranchuluun, senior specialist of the Board on regulation in agronomy of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light industry.
