UNHRC TO DISCUSS HUMAN RIGHTS SITUATION IN MONGOLIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Tuesday, a working group of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) will hold its regular meeting to discuss a national report of Mongolia on human rights conditions.
The meeting is to spend three hours considering the national report sent from the government, reports of the UN organizations in Mongolia and the National Commission for Human Rights, nine thematic reports worked out by NGOs of Mongolia and other related organizations. The comprising 47 members working group will question through online Mongolian government's representatives who will be led by G.Bayarsaikhan, the state secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs.
In aims to control over the explanation, to be given by the Mongolian governmental representatives on duties and responsibilities in ensuring human rights, and to report them to people, the group's meeting will be attended by G.Urantsooj, a head of the Center of Human Rights and Development; P.Badamragchaa, a manager of the Open Society Forum on governance program; D.Tsend-Ayush, a lawyer; and by B.Khishigsaikhan, a human rights researcher.
