Turkey ready to boost trade ties with Iran
Turkish Ambassador to Tehran Umit Yardim said here on Monday that dlrs 30 billion worth of Tehran-Ankara trade exchanges is achievable.
Talking to IRNA, he announced that the current volume of bilateral trade exchanges stands at dlrs 5-6 billion.
He underlined the need for further expansion of economic and trade cooperation between the two neighboring states.
Referring to the existing friendly relations between the two nations, Yardim said there are great potentials in both countries for a further boost in all-out economic ties.
Turning to his meeting with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during which the ambassador presented his credentials, he said the Iranian President also called for making use of all the existing potentials to further expand Iran-Turkey cooperation.
