Iran President congratulates da Silva on Roussef's victory
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday felicitated his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and the Brazilian government and nation on election of Dilma Rousseff to presidency.
'Recent elections mark another golden page in honorable history of the Brazilian nation, laying seal of approval on policies of your Excellency to restore justice, economic development and welfare of the nation,' President Ahmadinejad said in his message to da Silva.
He said Brazil presidential election promises materialization of Brazil lofty goals to have active and more constructive role on the regional and international levels.
Pointing to ever growing Iran-Brazil ties, President Ahmadinejad hoped that the ties will be upgraded in the future either.
To the end of his message, President Ahmadinejad wished da Silva health and success and the Brazilian government and nation prosperity and well-being.
