Majlis speaker, Nicaraguan FM meet
Tehran, Aug 4, IRNA - Majlis speaker Ali Larijani Sunday afternoon met and conferred with Nicaragua's Foreign Minister Samuel Santos Lopez, on expansion of bilateral ties.
Referring to Tehran-Managua cordial economic and political
cooperation, Larijani expressed his satisfaction with the growing
relations between the two sides.
Reiterating that expansion of Iran-Nicaragua economic, political and
parliamentary cooperation is an important strategy, he expressed hope
that the two countries would witness further boost in bilateral
relations.
Nicaraguan foreign minister, for his part, said that his Latin
American country attaches great importance to its relations with the
Islamic Republic of Iran.
He called for participation of Iranian companies in economic and
industrial projects in his country.
Lopez further submitted a written message from Nicaragua's Parliament
speaker to Larijani inviting him to visit his country in the near
future.
Accepting the invitation, Larijani expressed hope that he would visit
Nicaragua in an appropriate time.
