Primorsky territory ready to implement joint projects with Vietnam.
VLADIVOSTOK, November 1 (Itar-Tass) - Russia's Primorsky Territory is
ready to implement joint projects with Vietnam's companies in light
industry, agriculture and fishing, the regions' governor, Sergei Darkin,
said after the visit of the Russian delegation led by President Dmitry
Medvedev to Vietnam.
"The authorities of the Primorsky Territory are ready to help Vietnam'
s potential investors to get land plots for industrial facilities, to
provide necessary infrastructure and guarantee further shipment of
finished goods to central Russia," he said on Monday.
"This year the Primorsky Territory and Vietnam overcame a temporary
decline in trade objectively caused by the global economic and financial
crisis," the governor said.
"In the first six months of 2010 the trade output comprised 25 million
U.S. dollars. The Primorsky Territory mainly exports cement and
construction materials, while food staff accounts for almost 80 percent of
Vietnam's export to the region," Darkin said.
