Japan increases military spending under pretext of threat - KCNA.

PYONGYANG, November 1 (Itar-Tass) - The Japanese authorities are
quickly increasing military spending under the fictitious pretext of a
threat coming from China and North Korea, a commentary circulated by the
Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Monday.
The commentary says that, in particular, Tokyo has announced plans to
increase the number of its submarines from 15 to 22 by 2015, which "will
certainly trigger an arms race in Asia".
Its authors call these plans "another step towards militarization of
Japan and preparations for an aggression". According to the news agency,
Tokyo "builds up its military strength in order to get rid with the lapse
of time of the influence of leading states and create a sphere of its own
domination in the Asia-Pacific Region".
It said that in these conditions the world public must "come out
against Japan's aggressive attempts to increase its military strength in
North East Asia".
