Qom citizens praised for their warm welcome to Leader
TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (MNA) -- In a statement issued on Saturday, the office of the Supreme Leader thanked people of Qom for their warm welcome to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution during his tour of the shrine city.
It was said that it is hoped that the Leader’s guidelines would mark the “dawn of a new era in Qom’s glorious history”.
People’s support for the Islamic system during the recent days foiled the plots hatched by the enemies of Islam and Iran to separate religion from politics, part of the statement read.
Ayatollah Khamenei made a 10-day visit to the holy city of Qom starting on October 19 and was heartily welcomed upon his arrival. The Leader returned to Tehran on Friday, October 29.
At an open session of Majlis on Saturday, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani also suggested that the nation, particularly officials as well as political and religious intellectuals, follow the guidelines of the Leader.
