Yemen, Spain discuss improving expatriates' situation

SANA'A, Aug. 04 (Saba) - Minister of Expatriate Affairs Ahmed
Hussein held talks here on Sunday with Spanish ambassador to Yemen
Marcos Vega on Yemeni expatriates' situation in Spain and means of
improving it.

The talks dealt with activating the Yemeni-Spanish Friendship
Association and widening its base to include popular non
Non-government organizations t contribute to developing bilateral
relations between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed possibilities of establishing a centre
for the Yemeni communities in Spain and Latin America in the Spanish
capital Madrid.

The minister affirmed the Yemen's keenness on encouraging Spanish
capitals to invest in Yemen.

For his part, the Spanish diplomat expressed readiness of the
embassy in Sana'a to cooperate with the Yemeni expatriates in Spain
and Latin American countries to establish a main center for Yemeni
expatriates in those countries.
