Saudi Trade Delegation meets Heads of Chambers of Jordan's
Amman, Aug. 04, SPA -- A Saudi trade delegation, led by Deputy
Chairman of the Tabuk-based Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahmed
Al-Harthy met here today with heads of Jordan's Chambers of Commerce,
Industry and Investment.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance trade relations
between the two countries.
The head of the Saudi delegation said that the Saudi-Jordanian
relations are developing in all fields, urging businessmen in both
countries to push them forward.
He added that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia attaches great interest to trade relations with Arab
countries as they are one of the tools of economic development,
calling for unification of development goals, building productive
partnerships and translating them into actual projects.
He called on Jordanian businessmen to exploit the advantages enjoyed
by the investment climate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially
in the city of Tabuk near the Saudi-Jordanian border.
The Saudi delegation includes businessmen representing the services
sector, industry, commerce, construction and agriculture.
For his part, Chairman of Jordan's Chamber of Industry Dr. Hatem
Al-Halwani said Saudi Arabia is Jordan's fourth strategic partner and
first supplier, describing the meeting as a continuation of a
strategic partnership between the industry and commerce communities
in the two countries.
He disclosed that the first Saudi Jordanian economic forum will
discuss a proposed railway line between the two countries.
