Itar-Tass director becomes "Honorary Citizen of Seoul"

SEOUL, October 28 (Itar-Tass) - Seoul's Sejong Center for the
Performing Arts hosted a ceremony on Thursday at which city mayor Oh
Se-hun handed in diplomas and commemorative tokens "Honorary Citizen of
Seoul."
The mayor congratulated the awardees, noting their contribution to the
development of relations between the two countries in various fields of
activity. Itar-Tass Director General Vitaly Ignatenko became one of the
laureates of this prestigious award, to be handed in later.
Metropolitan Amvrosy of St.Nicolas church, the only orthodox temple of
the city, also became an honorary citizen of the South Korean capital.
Many orthodox Koreans came to congratulate him. They brought so many
flowers that he could not hold them all on his own.
In 2006, representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in South Korea
hieromonk Feofan became an honorary citizen of Seoul.
