D.DEMBEREL MEETS WB COUNTRY DIRECTOR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Parliament Speaker D.Demberel received Wednesday Mrs. Coralie Gevers, a new country manager of the World Bank (WB) for Mongolia.
The Speaker has underlined that assistance and support from international organizations, especially of the WB, have significantly contributed to Mongolia's overcoming the global financial crisis, and that the WB's projects and programs in many sectors gave an impetus to great construction here.
He has expressed a confidence that the collaboration between Mongolia and the WB will continue successfully noting that the law on budgetary stability, approved by the State Great Khural, is vital in approving the budget and making decisions on revenue from the mining sector.
In her turn, Mrs. Gevers has stated that she has an aspiration to carry on the collaboration started by Mr. Arshad Saeed, a former WB country director for Mongolia, and to develop effective cooperation with Mongolia's parliament.
Mrs. Gevers has said she is ready to support implementation of the law on budgetary stability.
