EU, Kazakhstan plan to start talks on advanced partnership.

BRUSSELES, October 26 (Itar-Tass) - The European Union and Kazakhstan
plan to start talks on advanced partnership before the year-end, European
Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said after a meeting with Kazakh
President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Tuesday, who is ending his visit to
Brussels.
According to Barroso, the EU intends to raise the level of cooperation
with Kazakhstan by concluding an agreement on advanced cooperation.
Currently the European Commission and EU countries are discussing a
mandate for holding such talks. This process is expected to be launched
before the end of this year, Barroso said.
