ABOUT LECTURE "INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE OF CHILDREN'S ART"
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The American Cultural and Information Center has hosted a lecture themed "International Language of Children's Art". This lecture has been presented by Ms. Candace Kaye, a Fulbright Scholar, the U.S Embassy in Mongolia reported Tuesday.
Ms. Kaye spoke about the cultivation of the child's mind and explained the international language of children. "We see through our memories and the more visual memories of different people, places and things that we have, the better our memory is willing to perceive," she said.
"Why do children especially enjoy books where the illustrations are simple and brightly colored?" Ms. Kaye asked to an audience of 42, which included teachers from the "Children's Art Center". She has explained that bright basic colors are the first ones we learn to see easily, however it is important to introduce children to more complex colors and shades because it helps them to acquire new visual memories and understanding.
A child's brain develops in the same manner, no matter where the child grew up. Children usually study from images and pictures of their surrounding environment. Ms. Kaye said that the Child art as an 'international language' provides important insights into their ideas, skills and life experiences. The presentation concluded with a series of questions and answers, both from Ms. Kay and the audience.
