Iran’s non-oil exports up by %188 in six months

Iran’s non-oil exports excluding gas condensates showed an increase of 188 percent in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year compared to the corresponding period last year.

Mehrdad Jalalizadeh, managing director of the exports promotion department of the Commerce Ministry added that the figure has had an increase of 204 percent if the gas condensates are included.

The official reiterated that the country is witnessing a growth in its exports despite the economic sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic in the past few years.

He added that the figures show that the West’s economic sanctions have no impact on the country’s economic activities.

He announced that the non-oil products form a major part of the country’s exports.

He said that raw materials and industrial products are among the main products imported to the country.

China, South Korea, France, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Japan and Italy are major trade partners of the Islamic Republic, the official said.
