Iran, Bolivia to cooperate in tractor manufacturing

– Iran will help Bolivia set up a tractor production line.


Bolivian President Juan Evo Morales who arrived in Tabriz on the firs day of his Iran visit, called for transfer of Iran's technology in the field to his country.

He ordered some 1,000 tractors from Tebriz Tractor Manufacturing Company.

'Currently, Bolvia buys tractors from Brazil and Argentina but it plans to conclude a deal with Iran's Vaniran Company based in Venezuela,' he said.

Iran's tractors are more compatible with Bolivian geographical conditions, he noted.

Managing Director of Tebriz Tractor Manufacturing Company Abulfath Ebrahimi expressed the company's readiness to set up a tractor production line in Bolivia.

'We are also prepared to train Bolivian experts and transfer necessary technology to that country,' he said.
