Sisters die after falling off car bonnet

Two people have been charged with dangerous driving after an accident in which two
sisters were killed while riding on a car bonnet.
An 18-year-old woman from Renmark died after she fell off the bonnet of the Toyota
Celica she was riding on with her 30-year-old sister from Eudunda, about 11.30pm
(CDT) on Friday.
The accident happened on the Worlds End highway at Point Pass, north of Adelaide.
The 30-year-old was struck by another car and died while trying to assist her
sister, Senior Constable Paul Noble said.
The woman's two young children were travelling in the back seat of the vehicle,
which was driven by a 16-year-old female from Eudunda, Const Noble said.
The 16-year-old female was charged with driving offences including causing death by
dangerous driving.
The driver of the oncoming car, a 34-year-old man from Points Pass, was charged with
causing death by dangerous driving and unlicensed driving.
Both have been released on bail and will appear at Clare Magistrates Court on
November 15.
The fatalities take South Australia's road toll to 97, three less than at the same
time last year.
