Energy Minister of Iran to visit India
New Delhi, Oct 23, IRNA – IRI Energy Minister Majeed Namjoo is arriving in New Delhi Monday on a three-day visit to attend 4th International Renewable Energy Conference 2010 (DIREC).
India is hosting the Delhi International Renewable Energy Conference (DIREC) 2010 from 27th to 29th October 2010 on the theme of ‘Upscaling and Mainstreaming Renewables for Energy Security, Climate Change and Economic Development.
Beside Yusuf Armoodli, President of New Energy Organization of Iran, Namjoo will be accompanied by a high ranking delegation.
During the visit, Namjoo will call on his Indian counterpart, Sushil Kumar Shinde and Pawan Kumar Bansal, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Water Resources, here on Tuesday.
He will also have meeting with Farooq Abdullah, Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy in New Delhi.
The two sides will review steps to expand cooperation in diverse areas./end
