MONGOLIA-DPRK INTER-GOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING HELD
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The 8th regular meeting of the Mongolia-DPRK inter-governmental consultative commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation was held Thursday in Ulaanbaatar.
The meeting was co-chaired by T.Badamjunai, the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and head of the consultative commission for Mongolian side; and by Gu Bon Te, the vice minister of the DPRK's foreign trade and head of the DPRK's side.
This year's meeting has concluded implementation of decisions made by the 7th meeting, and shared views on developing the bilateral cooperation in the spheres of trade, economics, science and techniques such as expanding barter, land farming, irrigation and water transportation in 2011-2012. The sides have reached agreements on some matters which are possible to be realized.
The two countries have considered issues of implementing a cooperation document established between Mongolia's Ministry of Road, Transportation, Constrcution and Urban Development, and DPRK's Rajin-Sonbong Economic Special Zone during a visit of G.Zandanshatar, the Foreign Minister of Mongolia, paid in April this year.
In an aim to forward the economic ties, the countries also have raised an issue of establishing a Mongolian business and cultural center in Pyongyang.
In frames of the meeting, the N.Korean biggest trade and economic representatives plan to get au fait with activities of Mongolia's largest producers such as the APU, Buyan and Makh impex companies.
