French MPs` Nagorno Karabakh visit runs counter to French Parliament`s position
Baku, October 22 (AzerTAc). Embassy of Azerbaijan to France received reply to a letter of protest addressed to the National Assembly of France on MPs` visit to Narogno Karabakh organized by French deputy Rochblua.
In the letter, chairman of France`s National Assembly Bernard Accoyer said he was unaware of this fact, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry said.
Mr. Accoyer said visit of the French deputies is not an official mission but personal trip. He also stressed the trip was not financed by the National Assembly.
Chairman of the National Assembly said unofficial position of these deputies will not cast doubt on participation of France, which as Minsk group co-chair continues its efforts in peaceful resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
