Azeri Transport Minister meets British Minister of State for Europe
Baku, October 21 (AzerTAc). Transport Minister of Azerbaijan Ziya Mammadov met Thursday British Minister of State for Europe David Lidington.
Mammadov briefed Lidington on the accomplishments achieved in Azerbaijan in both political and economic spheres, as well as major regional projects. He said transport sector was one of the priority areas in Azerbaijan`s economy, and the country leadership puts special emphasis on its development.
For his part, Lidington said he was aware of the accomplishments achieved in Azerbaijan and ongoing regional projects.
He said the UK government highly appreciates Azerbaijan`s efforts towards European integration and World Trade Organization membership.
