SPORTS DELEGATION IN LONDON

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In frames of activities of Mongolia's National Committee for Olympic Preparation, a sports delegation led by M.Enkhbold, the Deputy Premier of Mongolia and a member of an Executive Council of Mongolia's National Olympic Committee (MonNOC), is visiting London, UK to get au fait with preparation for the London 2012 Olympic Games and to share opinions on training of Mongolian Olympic athletes.
A Minister for Sports of the UK Mr. Hugh M.Robertson has received the delegation. The sides have share views on sports training of Mongolian sportspeople. Mr. Robertson has promised to assist the Mongolians in preparing for the Games.
The Mongolian delegation has visited training centers for judo, shooting and amateur boxing, got au fait with sports complex in Surrey, visited the headquarters of the organization committee for the London-2012 Games to take detailed information about the preparation, and got acquainted with the Olympic Park, athletes' village and other sports buildings.
The British side has invited Mongolian sportspeople to take part in the "ExCels" serial competitions that will run in 2011-2012 before the Olympics.
The visiting group comprises Ch.Naranbaatar, a head of State Committee of Physical Culture and Sports (SCPhCS); J.Otgontsagaan, secretary-general of the MonNOC; Ts.Odonbayar, a director of national selected team of the SCPhCS; and P.Buyandelger, expert. They have been accompanied by Mr. B.Altangerel, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the UK, and diplomats.
The national Olympic team of Mongolia has two gold, seven silver and ten bronze medals in Summer Olympic Games so far since the first participation in the Olympics in 1964.
