KRASNOYARSK, October 21 (Itar-Tass) - Krasnoyarsk Territory's
delegation headed by governor Lev Kuznetsov will present at EXPO 2010
World Exhibition in Shanghai on October 22 promising investment projects
that are planned with the participation of foreign partners.
"The region's presentation will be held on this day - programmes in
the sphere of forestry, agriculture, metallurgy, processing industry,
construction and urban infrastructure," the government's press service
told Itar-Tass on Thursday. "The signing of memorandums on cooperation
between the Krasnoyarsk plant of synthetic rubber and Chinese partners
will be held."
Russia is represented at the exhibition by a separate pavilion with an
area of about 6,000 square meters. The themes of the Russian exhibition
are "New Russia: cities and people" and "that city is the best where it is
good for children."
Expo 2010, officially Expo 2010 Shanghai China is being held on both
banks of the Huangpu River in the city of Shanghai, China, from May 1 to
October 31, 2010. It is a World Expo in the tradition of international
fairs and expositions. The theme of the exposition is "Better City -
Better Life" and signifies Shanghai's new status in the 21st century as
the "next great world city." The expo Logo features the Chinese character
"world," Chinese "shi" modified to represent three people together with
the 2010 date. It has the largest number of countries participating and is
the most expensive Expo in the history of the world's fairs. The Shanghai
World Expo is also the largest World's Fair site ever at 5.28 square
kilometres.
