Two debutants for Swans against Bulldogs
(AAP) - Sydney will play two debutants against the Western Bulldogs in Sunday's AFL crunch game in Canberra.
The Swans, who might find themselves playing for fourth spot if North Melbourne beat
Brisbane on Saturday night, have named Ryan Brabrazon and Patrick Veszpremi in their
finalised side.
Midfielder Brabrazon, 21, from Claremont in the WAFL, gets his chance after three
seasons on the Swans' list, while fellow onballer Veszpremi, 18, was selected from
the Victorian under-18 competition at pick No.11 in last year's national draft.
The newcomers, along with Luke Brennan and tagger Jared Crouch, replaced the injured
Adam Goodes (groin) and Henry Playfair (hamstring), while Ben Mathews and Matthew
O'Dwyer were dropped.
The Bulldogs replaced Dylan Addison (knee) with Stephen Tiller.
Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich was passed fit to play in Sunday's derby against
West Coast after missing last Sunday's win over Port Adelaide with a jarred knee.
Pavlich and defender Roger Hayden replaced Robert Warnock (shoulder) and Ryan Murphy.
The Eagles also regained their skipper, as Darren Glass overcame a calf strain and
replaced Matthew Spangher.
St Kilda recalled Justin Koschitzke from suspension, along with Jarryn Geary and
James Gwilt, for Sunday's game against Port at Telstra Dome.
They replaced fullback Max Hudghton (calf) and dropped pair Michael Gardiner and
David Armitage.
Port also named two debutants - Mitch Farmer, 19, and Nick Salter, 21, along with
Paul Stewart to replace three injured players.
But captain Warren Tredrea (shoulder), defender Troy Chaplin (ankle) and midfielder
Steven Salopek (Achilles) will all miss the match.
