HONORARY MEETING HELD FOR ANNIVERSARY OF PARLIAMENT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A honorary meeting dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishment of permanent parliament in Mongolia ran Wednesday in the Government House.
The meeting has brought together Ts.Elbegdorj, the President of Mongolia; D.Demberel, the Speaker; MPs and members of the former State Small Conference including herders B.Lhagvajav, J.Gombojav from Arkhangai province. Diplomats of foreign embassies to Mongolia have attended the meeting as well.
A speech given by the Speaker states that Mongolia has managed to become one of the developing countries through the democracy thanks to endeavor and activities of the State Great Khural. He has congratulated former and current members of the State Great Khural and of State Small Conference, who contributed to developing parliament in Mongolia.
The State Head Ts.Elbegdorj has mentioned in his speech that parliament has gained big experiences and achievements in the last 20 years, and has greeted all parliamentarians of all generations.
At the end of the meeting, the President granted certificates to very first parliament members.
