China true to its obligations regarding Iran's nuclear prblm-FM
BEIJING, October 19 (Itar-Tass) -- China is true to its obligations
regarding the nuclear problem of Iran, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign
Ministry Ma Zhaosui told a briefing here on Tuesday commenting on the
information on military technologies which were allegedly transferred to
Teheran by Beijing despite the corresponding resolution of the UN
Security Council.
"China has always carried out its obligations regarding Iran's nuclear
problem in the interests of ensuring the effectiveness of the
international regime of non-proliferation and securing peace and stability
in the Middle East," the diplomat stressed. "Beijing meets provisions of
corresponding resolutions of the UN Security Council."
"China also comes out in favour of a peaceful solution of the nuclear
problem of Iran by means of a dialogue and talks," Ma Zhaosui recalled.
"In the developed situation, the interested sides should exert necessary
efforts to bring the given process back to talks and jointly find the way
to a long-term, all-round and proper settlement of this issue," the
Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesman said in conclusion.
