China leaders congratulated on success of CPC C Commtt plenum.

BEIJING, October 19 (Itar-Tass) -- Meeting with Hu Jintao, the
president of the People's Republic of China, in the House of People's
Assemblies in Beijing's Tiananmen Square, Sergei Mironov, the speaker of
the Federation Council upper house of Russian parliament, congratulated
the Chinese leadership on the successful holding of the Fifth plenary
session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. "We have
felt cordiality and warmth of our friends from the first days of our stay
on hospitable Chinese land," the speaker of the Federation Council
stressed in the protocol part of the meeting with the Chinese head of
state.
Mironov also expressed compassion on behalf of the entire Russian
people to the president of the PRC over miners' deaths in an accident. The
tragedy claimed 37 lives.
Hu Jintao, in his turn, expressed confidence that Sergei Mironov's
visit "will promote the deepening of cooperation between the legislative
bodies of the two countries, as well as relations of strategic partnership
and interaction between China and Russia."
