British jeweler creates the world`s most expensive diamond-set mobile phone
Baku, October 19 (AzerTAc). Well-known British jeweler Stuart Hughes, who creates diamond set cell phones, has launched a diamond-set iPhone 4 valued at $8 million which makes it the world`s most expensive mobile phone.
Made of rose gold, it is set with around 500 flawless diamonds with a total weight of more than 100 carats.
It features two interchangeable diamonds which fit over the “home” button. They are a single cut 7.4-carat pink diamond, and a rare 8-carat single cut flawless diamond which is worth more than $6 million.
The reverse of the phone is plated in rose gold and the Apple logo sparkles with 53 diamonds.
Hughes was commissioned to make two of the phones by a rich Australian businessman.
