NAM CALLS FOR FOLLOW-UP MEETING OF ANNAPOLIS CONFERENCE
Jakarta, Aug. 2 (ANTARA) - The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) has called for an international conference on Palestine to be held in Russia as a follow up of the 2007 Annapolis Conference.
The NAM meeting in Iran last week, agreed to follow up the Annapolis Conference by organizing another meeting on Palestine, Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Hassan Wirajuda said here on Friday after the closing of the International Conference of Islamic Scholars (ICIS) III.
NAM members noticed that in the post-Annapolis Conference, none of the agreements yielded in the meeting, was implemented, he said.
Therefore, NAM agreed to push for a follow-up meeting in Russia, the minister said.
