Fraser-Kirk leaves talks smiling

David Jones publicist Kristy Fraser-Kirk has emerged smiling from day-long
conciliation talks.
The 27-year-old, who launched a $37 million sexual harassment lawsuit against the
department store group, nine directors and former chief executive Mark McInnes left
a central Sydney office block at 7.10pm (AEDT) on Friday.
"I'm so sorry, I can't make any comment. Thanks so much for asking everybody, I'm
just not in a position to say anything, but thank you," she told journalists.
She walked out of the Market Street building arm in arm with her partner.
Her parents, Alex and Sally, followed behind and were also smiling.
Asked by reporters how she was feeling, her mother replied: "Very proud, very proud."
Her father said: "Relieved and proud."
Mr McInnes, 45, had left the building at about 6.15pm.
"I've got no comment yet guys," he told reporters.
The talks involved Mr McInnes, Ms Fraser-Kirk and David Jones.
The discussions started in Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) earlier on
Friday, before shifting to a Market Street building in the afternoon.
Ms Fraser-Kirk's lawsuit is Australia's biggest sexual harassment case and was
launched in the Federal Court in Sydney.
She claims Mr McInnes made unwelcome sexual advances to her and further claims the
retailer tolerated his continuing sexual misconduct.
The allegations are denied and the parties are defending the suit.
Mr McInnes resigned in mid-June over the allegations, publicly admitting he had
behaved "in a manner unbecoming of a chief executive to a female staff member".
Federal Court judge Geoffrey Flick last month set down the case for hearing on
December 20.
