Deputy Oil Minister: Iran to join oil products exporters from next year

Khorramabad, Lorestan province, Oct 17, IRNA – Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Alireza Zeighami said that Iran will join the exporters of oil products from next year.

He also said Iran will produce 30 million liters of gasoline per day and will be self-sufficient in supplying domestic needs and one of the world exporters of differenr oil products by the end of next year.

Speaking in a commemoration ceremony in Pol-e-Dokhtar city on Saturday, Alireza Zeighami said that determination of of country’s oil industry experts have turned enemies' imposed sanctions into an opportunity, so we have new success in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals.

He noted that soon after US and EU imposed sanctions against Iran, six oil refineries started to produce gasoline and now we have no shortages in supplying domestic consumption.

To produce enough gasoline, three oil refineries in Shazand, Tehran and Abadan will increase their products to 15 million liters by the end of current year and refineries of Tabriz, Bandar Abbas, Lavan and Isfahan will increase their products from next year./end
